LIP AND DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers are injected into the skin to soften lines, fold and wrinkles and to give volume.

The most common areas treated with dermal fillers are the nasolabial folds, marionette lines and lips.juv 3

In the past, fillers included permanent and potentially harmful substances. At the Ballsbridge Clinic we only use fillers made from hyaluronic acid (Juvederm). Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in most tissues in the body. In the skin hyaluronic acid binds water molecules giving volume, shape, hydration and elasticity. These fillers are broken down and absorbed by the body over a 6-12 month period (or 12-24 months for the new Vycross range).

At the Ballsbridge Clinic we strive for an enhanced but natural appearance, thereby avoiding the “trout pout” look. As there is often some swelling and bruising for up to a week after the procedure, this is given time to settle and at the complimentary review any concerns can be addressed, and further volume can be added if desired.

To reduce discomfort a numbing cream is applied before the procedure, the skin is cooled, and the dermal filler also contains a local anaesthetic to help also.

SUBTLE CHEEK ENHANCEMENT  & 8-POINT LIFT

voluma_boxAs we age, volume and structure is lost from the face resulting in sagging and drooping.

A new advanced non-surgical approach to revitalise and enhance the face has been developed. This uses the new Vycross collection by Juvederm (hyaluronic acid dermal fillers) to replace volume lost with ageing.

Treatments are tailored to each individual client and results last 12-24 months. The procedure takes approximately 30 mins with very little redness or bruising reported afterwards. Results are immediate and tend to improve over the following 4 weeks. The amount of filler needed will depend on the individual’s volume loss and specific requirements.
